How to Send Packages to Mountain Harbour Hiker Hostel

If you need to ship gear, resupply items, or personal packages ahead of your stay, you can send them via USPS (United States Postal Service), UPS, or FedEx. Please address all packages as follows:

Shipping Gear Home from Mountain Harbour Hiker Hostel

Many Appalachian Trail hikers discover after checking into the hostel that they’ve packed more than they need. If you need to ship extra gear home or forward items to another trail town up the line, we’re happy to help.

At Mountain Harbour, we ship exclusively through USPS Flat Rate boxes to ensure fast, reliable, and affordable delivery.
We simply charge the USPS postage fee plus a small handling charge for preparing and sending your package.

Whether you’re lightening your pack or planning ahead for the next stretch of trail, our gear shipping service makes it quick and easy. Let us take care of the mailing so you can focus on the miles ahead.

Backpacker Fuel Available at Mountain Harbour Hiker Hostel

We stock a variety of backpacking stove fuels right here at the hostel to help Appalachian Trail hikers stay prepared on the trail.

We keep white gas and denatured alcohol on hand and sell both at $0.30 per ounce.

If you need canister stove fuel, you can purchase JetBoil-compatible fuel canisters at our General Store located on the property.

Whether you’re refueling for your next section hike or topping off before heading back to the Appalachian Trail, Mountain Harbour makes it easy and convenient to get the fuel you need.

Pet Policy at Mountain Harbour Hiker Hostel

We welcome well-mannered, house-broken, and reasonably clean pets at the Mountain Harbour Hiker Hostel. If you’re hiking with a dog, please keep a leash on hand for use when needed to ensure the safety and comfort of all guests.

Pet owners are fully responsible for the behavior and actions of their animals. Any damage to hostel property or another hiker’s gear will require appropriate compensation.

For the safety of your pet and the comfort of other guests, pets may not be left unattended anywhere on the property.

Hikers traveling with dogs can enjoy a comfortable stay with clear expectations and a pet-friendly environment at Mountain Harbour.
